Abstract

The present book review presents a summary of the 8 chapters of the book Informal Digital Learning of English: Research to Practice by Ju Seong Lee. The book is about ‘Informal Digital Learning of English’ which is an emerging phenomenon in today’s digital era. Considering that many people are voluntarily engaged in learning via extramural or informal digital environments, IDLE plays a crucial role. The book mainly aims to explain IDLE, present experimental data on the relationship between IDLE and language learning outcomes, and provides pedagogical suggestions for English teachers.
